Versatile Automation System Goes Mainstream Online

Dataforth’s well-established MAQ20 is described as a high performance, highly flexible system developed for a wide range of applications including factory and process automation, machine automation, military and aerospace, power and energy, oil and gas, and environmental monitoring. The company has recently developed two online MAQ20 demonstrations that allow users to experience both real-time interaction with a MAQ20 and remote access to a MAQ20 system from anywhere.

Process Simulator Interactive Demo

Sensors Midwest Hits Rosemont, IL October 16-17!

Sensors Midwest, the industry's largest event focusing on sensors, design, and IIoT in the Midwest region, is scheduled for October 16-17 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. Co-located with STMA, the event draws over 1,000 engineers and engineering professionals that are looking for access to the latest sensor advancements and will provide an opportunity to connect with the area's greatest technology leaders and suppliers.

Using a hardware module that acts as a process simulator, Dataforth engineers connected this hardware to a MAQ20 and, using the company’s website, which utilizes the MAQ20 Python API, viewers can interact directly with the hardware using their browsers. It’s also possible to witness the interaction via a live video feed directly from a camera pointed at the actual hardware in Tucson. Visit for more details.

Weather Station Demo

Engineers connected a commercial weather station and its sensors to the MAQ20 at the Tucson facility. The demonstration uses the MAQ20 Python API on the server to sample the MAQ20 and displays real-time weather reports directly in the customer’s browser. When connected, the webpage source code uses AJAX to connect to the server and request the latest weather station data. A python application on the server polls the weather station MAQ20 every 2 seconds for real-time data, which is then used to update the display in the browser window. Check it out at
