SBCs Employ Windows 10 IoT

WinSystems’ PX1-C415 single-board computers (SBCs) rely on Microsoft Windows 10 IoT core operating system to create a cost-effective platform for embedded industrial internet of things (IIoT) applications. Windows 10 IoT Core is the basic license-free version of the Windows operating system specifically tailored to the embedded computing market. It features customizable security, intelligence at the edge, and native cloud integration in a cost-efficient platform that enables complete orchestration of the most advanced IIoT applications. Its incorporated support for Trusted Platform Module (TPM) provides a sophisticated cryptographic and security capability by enabling the root of trust at the hardware layer, which can then be utilized to implement a secure IIoT sub-network.

 

The PX1-C415 SBC series integrates the latest industrial CPU designs and capitalizes on the latest interfaces for greater design flexibility. Intel Atom E3900 (formerly known as Apollo Lake I) processors are thought to deliver more computing performance, faster I/O, and higher-resolution graphics than previous industrial CPUs. By increasing avenues for expansion and extending the useful life of high-reliability embedded systems, the PX1-C415 series maximizes the return on investment. Further, these SBCs withstand temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C, making them suitable for rugged IIoT environments.
