Partners Offer Storage Strategies For Machine Learning

Vexata, in collaboration with partner GPL Technologies, exhibits its transformative Scalable File Storage System at GTC 2018, booth No. 2237 from March 26–29. The Vexata File Solution targets demanding AI, machine and deep learning workloads. By combining the VX- 100F Scalable Flash Array, powered by the company's VX-OS software with a high-performance file system, the Vexata File Solution enables organizations to support and accelerate next-gen data pipelines and reduce time to market.

Vexata and GPL will showcase how this solution significantly eliminates input-output bottlenecks in data centers without requiring customers to re-architect their IT infrastructure. The result is faster performance at all layers of the data center stack and reduce costs related to underutilized equipment.

SENSORS MIDWEST

Sensors Midwest Hits Rosemont, IL October 16-17!

Sensors Midwest, the industry's largest event focusing on sensors, design, and IIoT in the Midwest region, is scheduled for October 16-17 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. Co-located with STMA, the event draws over 1,000 engineers and engineering professionals that are looking for access to the latest sensor advancements and will provide an opportunity to connect with the area's greatest technology leaders and suppliers.

Vexata pairs what it calls the fastest all-flash storage system on the market today with the VX-100FS file storage system to create a scalable storage system with a high-performance file front end. The Vexata VX-100FS File Storage System combines:

  • The VX-100F Scalable Storage System
  • The enterprise-hardened IBM Spectrum Scale file system software running on up to four standard dual socket Intel Xeon servers

The result is a scalable file storage system, supporting industry-standard NFSv3 and GPFS distributed file system protocols at 1M+ random file IOPS, 50GB/s read, 20GB/s write bandwidth, 30 GB/s of mixed bandwidth and up to 180TB of protected capacity. In addition, the new system supports file-based snapshots/clones and replication, as well as data-at-rest encryption.
