Converter Interfaces RS-232 To IO-Link

BALLUFF’s IO-Link converter for RS-232 devices is described as a simple and practical solution for connecting RS-232 directly to IO-Link. The converter connects devices like barcode scanners, printers or RS-232 controllers directly to an IO-Link terminal.

Measuring in at 118 mm x 18 mm and weighing 100g, the IO-Link converter features a rugged IP67, stainless steel housing and digital inputs (2 x PNP, type 3). Bright LEDs make diagnostics easier. Connection to IO-Link is made via a 4-pin M12 plug. On the RS-232 side an 8-pin M12 female is provided. This also provides 24V power for the RS-232 device. For more details, visit BALLUFF GmbH.
