MILPITAS, CA /PRNewswire/ -- Cermetek Microelectronics Inc. has released our first project on the crowd-funding site Kickstarter. The Kickstarter project will speed the transition of the Cermetek iController products from prototype to production. Our iController is a unique M2M system that is equal parts sensor data, collection hardware, and cloud application. Our Kickstarter goal has been set at $35,000 and will run through July 18, 2013.
Contributors supporting iController on Kickstarter will receive a variety of iController systems as rewards. The rewards include simple, single-node systems and sophisticated, multi-node systems. Supporters at the $10 level gain access to the RSVP cloud application for evaluation. Cermetek will provide iController hardware and assist in developing water and irrigation systems for developing areas with a $10,000 contribution.
Cermetek iController hardware supports "Internet of Things" applications from a simple smart home system to large-scale industrial and agricultural installations incorporating multiple sensor nodes, wireless sensor networks, and cellular equipped network hubs. Regardless of the system complexity all iController systems move the sensor data to our secure Web server, where the resident RSVP (Remote Sensor Viewing Platform) software processes, archives, and displays the sensor data. RSVP can also remotely activate equipment connected to the output signals of the iController sensor nodes. For more information on iController and RSVP please visit our Web site or online.
Cermetek Microelectronics Inc. provides communications solutions for a wide variety of industries. Cermetek solutions include modems, Ethernet, wireless sensor networks, cellular communications, and Web-based data management.
