Scotland's Scotsman reports that street crosswalks in Edinburgh have been fitted with sensors able to cancel requests for pedestrian crossing lights in cases where the walker has moved on. The intersections sport IR cameras, too, to allow more time when people need it. (http:// tinyurl.com/l8c2r)
