TVS Diode Array Provides Sensor Circuit Protection

ProTek Devices’ PDFN3-32TVS diode array is designed for circuit protection of proximity sensors in automated factory sensory applications. The component features a double diode array to protect 24V proximity sensors. It is compatible with IEC standards 61000-4-2 (ESD): air ±15kV, contact ±8kV; and 61000-4-4 (EFT): 40A, 5/50ns; and 61000-4-5 (surge): 40A, 8/20 micro seconds; and for interface with logic input types 1, 2, 3 and IEC 61131-2.

The transient voltage suppressor diode array’s minimum breakdown voltage (VBR) is 34V and maximum clamping voltage is 55V at 25A, 8/20 micro seconds. The blocking diode drop forward voltage (VF) is 1.1V at 300mA and the blocking diode maximum 10ms square pulse current (IFSM) is 3A. The ambient operating temperature is -40°C to +100°C. The PDFN3-32 is also RoHS and REACH compliant.

SENSORS MIDWEST

Sensors Midwest Hits Rosemont, IL October 16-17!

Sensors Midwest, the industry's largest event focusing on sensors, design, and IIoT in the Midwest region, is scheduled for October 16-17 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. Co-located with STMA, the event draws over 1,000 engineers and engineering professionals that are looking for access to the latest sensor advancements and will provide an opportunity to connect with the area's greatest technology leaders and suppliers.

The PDFN3-32 comes in a molded DFN-3 package. Other mechanical characteristics include lead-free plating and a solder reflow temperature of +260°C to +270°C. The device’s flammability rating is UL 94V-0. Checkout the PDFN3-32 datasheet.
