“Shark Sensors” Protect Australian Beaches

The system has been used successfully in South Australia, where CSIRO scientists caught nearly 500 sharks up to 3m long and fitted them with battery-powered tags. Small, moored, data loggers that read the tags enable real-time monitoring-whereas earlier technology did not.
