SEOUL, South Korea /PRNewswire/ -- MagnaChip Semiconductor Ltd., a leading provider of analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products for high-volume consumer applications, announced the launch of its 2.2 µm 1/10 in. VGA CMOS image sensor (MC501EA) for use in slim, high-performance mobile phones.
The MC501EA CMOS sensor integrates VGA (640H by 480V) resolution with an advanced image signal processor to enable compact (5 by 5 by 3 mm) camera modules. The MC501EA also provides low-noise 10-bit ADC and scene adaptive control, noise filtering, color processing, and edge enhancement, resulting in crisp, true color images.
MagnaChip's MC501EA supports an ITU-R BT.656 parallel video interface and has low EMI emission. Additionally, the on-chip regulator enables operation on a single 2.4 V to 3.1 V power supply for reduced host-system power-supply complexity. The device can be configured to support host devices with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, or 2.8 V digital I/O voltages.
