LVDT Rotary Position Sensors Operate With Hands Off

NewTek Sensor Solutions introduces the RV series of RVDT rotary position sensors that offer highly accurate angular displacement measurement of rotating elements such as quarter-turn ball and butterfly valves, actuators, throttles and dancer arm tensioners used in industrial machine-to-machine applications.  With a shaft that rotates a full 360° with no stops and virtually no friction, the ac-operated rotary position sensors measure shaft angle position over a nominal range of ±30°.

A non-contacting design gives the RV sensors an extremely long operational life by eliminating components that wear or degrade over time. In addition to offering reliable noise performance, the components are shock and vibration tolerant to provide feedback even when operating in hostile conditions often found in challenging packaging and automation applications.  Units operate over a temperature range of -65°F to 220°F and exhibit a linearity error of less than 0.5% of full range.
