LVDT Position Sensors Can Take The Rads

NewTek’s latest line of radiation-resistant LVDT position sensors provide position measurements in autoclaves, particle accelerators, nuclear power plants, submarines, and spacecraft.  Constructed of radiation-tolerant and hardened materials, the ac-powered components are said to operate continuously in demanding radiation environments without failure or decay. They can withstand up to 100 MRad total integrated flux and have been successfully tested for high levels of radiation exposure.

The company offers radiation resistant options on most standard and semi-custom ac-powered LVDTs and on position sensors with temperature ratings from cryogenic to +500°C.  Hermetically-sealed versions are also an option. For greater illumination and insights, peruse the Radiation Resistant LVDTs page and/or contact Mike Marciante at 856-406-6877 to discuss your application requirements.
