Laser Diode Module Is Wavelength Stabilized

OSI Laser Diode introduces the SCW 1731F-D40R, a 1650-nm AI RWG DFB laser diode module. The module is specially designed for optical test equipment applications where high-peak-pulsed optical power is required.

The module’s unique proprietary design offers a stabilized wavelength that is unaffected by operational pulse width, making it viable for OSA/OTDR tasks. It also features a broader spectrum than is available in traditional DFBs and it exhibits less noise in OTDR and other similar applications.

The SCW 1731F-D40R is housed in a 14-pin DIL package. It is optically coupled to an SMF fiber pigtail and includes a thermoelectric cooler and an electrically-isolated temperature-sensing thermistor. For more and deeper details, peruse the SCW 1731F-D40R datasheet.
