Gear-Tooth Sensor Reduces EMI Protection Requirements

The ATS684LSN dual-element, differential gear-tooth sensor integrates a capacitor to reduce the need for external EMI protection. The sensor design capable promises stable, signal perturbation-immune, output performance for speed sensing applications. The back-bias magnet creates a differential magnetic signal in the presence of a rotating ferromagnetic target. A single over-mold design integrates the key operating components to reduce mechanical tolerances and achieve optimal operating performance. The ATS684 comes in a lead (Pb) free, two-pin back-biased SIP package (suffix SN) with tin leadframe plating.  It is priced at $2.443 each/1,000.
