Fluid Power Industrial Consortium to meet March 2

The MSOE Fluid Power Industrial Consortium’s March 2, 2018 seminar will focus on devices that perform self-diagnostics and troubleshooting, and integrate easily with plug and play functionality.

Sensor industry marketing expert Roger Grace of Roger Grace Associates will deliver the keynote address, “Smart Sensors in Fluid Power: A Systems-Solutions Approach.”

SENSORS EXPO & CONFERENCE

Sensors 2018 Hits Silicon Valley June 26-28!

Join thousands of engineers this June in San Jose at the sensor industry’s biggest event! With 65+ Technical Sessions, 100+ Leading Speakers, and 300+ Interactive Exhibits, there’s more opportunity than ever to connect with this booming industry and the technologies driving it. See thousands of the newest technologies in action, learn about the latest applications, including AI, Autonomous Vehicles, IoT, and Medical, and develop invaluable partnerships at the only event dedicated to sensors, connectivity, and systems.

“This is a unique opportunity for attendees to obtain up-to-the-minute information on smart sensors and their ever increasing and important role in fluid power. In addition to Roger Grace’s keynote overview presentation on smart sensors, leading fluid power industry speakers will address technologies and applications of smart sensors in fluid power which are smaller, more cost-effective and more robust,” said Tom Wanke, director of the FPIC. “Additionally, wireless sensors for measuring pressure, temperature, position, velocity, acceleration, flowrate, load, torque and system fluid condition, as well as sensors with internal self-calibration and diagnostic functionality, will also be discussed.”

For the first time, non-consortium members are invited to register for the seminar and experience first-hand the benefits of becoming an FPIC member. The half-day seminar, to be held at the Milwaukee Intercontinental Hotel, will also feature the following presentations:

Pressure and Temperature Sensing are Combined into a Single Package Using Smart Packaging, Calibration and Testing

Gary Winzeler, VP Sales & Marketing DunAn Sensing

IO-Link: A New Way to Communicate with Smart Sensors

Yuen Li, Product Marketing Manager, Industrial Networks, IFM Efector

The full agenda and registration form can be found online at www.msoe.edu/fpic/March

The seminar will also provide attendees with the opportunity to meet and network with diverse industry professionals who represent stakeholders in the fluid power industry and experience the benefits of becoming a consortium member. The non-consortium member registration fee is $125 which includes a light breakfast and lunch. Registration is free for current FPIC consortium members. Please visit www.msoe.edu/fpic for additional information and to register.
