Digital Temperature Sensor Sets Accuracy Benchmark

Sensirion’s STS35 temperature sensor embarks as the most accurate sensor of the STS3x series. The sensor has been designed to fulfill the needs of demanding markets such as the medical and automotive sectors. Typical applications include body temperature measurement and temperature control.

Temperature accuracy is Delta T = ± 0.1°C and the sensor features increased intelligence and reliability. Its functionality includes enhanced signal processing, two user-selectable I2C addresses and communication speeds up to 1 MHz. Its DFN package measures 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm x 0.9 mm and supply voltage range is 2.4V to 5.5V. Furthermore, the STS35 sensor includes a configurable alert function, allowing it to be used as a temperature watchdog. More details and specs are available from the company’s website.
