Angle Sensors Stand Up To Rugged Rigors

Novotechnik U.S. introduces the RSB 3600 Series absolute single-turn, non-contact angle sensors with galvanized steel housing and stainless-steel shafts. They are sealed up to IP 69K depending on version and all are enhanced giant magnetic resistance (EGMR) devices that retain their angular position even when power is removed.

Operating speed is up to 12,000 RPM.  Specifications include a 36.5-mm profile, count to 16 turns, angular position 0 to 360°, 12-bit resolution, repeatability of <0.1°, and typical independent linearity of ≤ ±0.8% fs. Single, partially redundant and fully redundant two channel versions are offered. Output options are: 0.25 to 4.75 V, 0.5 to 4.5 V, 0.1 to 10 V, 4 to 20 mA, and 10 to 90% of power supply.

The RSB 3600 Series is available in connector or cable versions as well as 5V and 24V supply models. RSB 3600 Series versions have a MTBF of more than 105 years.  All models have operating temperature range of -30°C to +85°C and 0 to 98% RH, non-condensing.
