Impeva Labs Completes $10 Million Round of Series B Financing

November 4, 2008

The funding will enable volume deployment of wireless Global Sentinel Units, which support global asset tracking, monitoring, and security measures.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA /PRNewswire/ -- Impeva Labs, a leading supplier of global asset visibility services (tracking, tracing, monitoring, and security), announced the completion of its series B financing round of $10 million. Funding participants include A round investor NTT Leasing. The company has met or exceeded the objectives of extensive commercial and military asset optimization deployments around the globe in the U.S., Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, including active military theaters. Impeva Labs solutions have passed rigorous certifications for the next generation of automated identification technologies, exceeding standards set by several independent entities, including Sandia National Laboratories and the U.S. Department of Defense. A key commercial factor is that Impeva Labs' value-added solutions can deliver a substantial return on investment by enabling significant improvements in supply chain efficiency, logistics management effectiveness, and enhanced quality of service. The latest funding enables Impeva to quickly ramp up volume production to support full-scale deployments now underway.

"Impeva Labs has clearly demonstrated that our services not only offer reliable security, seamless global operations and enhanced logistics management capabilities, but can also do so with a compelling value proposition," said Tony Moroyan, Chairman and CEO of Impeva Labs. "Building on the success of extensive trials and targeted global deployments, we are now committed to large-scale engagements that will deliver a viable ROI for worldwide supply chain integration, global asset optimization, in-transit visibility, and enhanced logistics management."

The Global Sentinel Unit (GSU) from Impeva Labs incorporates various sensors, direct machine-to-machine interfaces, and multiple communication mediums (global satellite, cellular, GPS, 802.11, 802.15.4, and 18000-7). GSUs are available in a variety of packaging and mounting options for immediate worldwide deployment to provide security status, asset conditions, and location of dry containers, reefers, air cargo, truck fleets, trains, ships, and special equipment. Reliable two-way communications with globally deployed devices also allows users to control their assets remotely (e.g., change business rules, operating paradigms, and equipment settings). These unique and dynamic capabilities are managed by providing clients secure access to the Impeva Labs Device Management Center via Web applications, XML data feeds, and program APIs.
