EnOcean Announces Partnership with Energy Star Program

The company pledges to advance the cause of energy efficiency through its support of the program and development of energy-harvesting and wireless building automation system controls.


BOSTON /BUSINESS WIRE/ -- EnOcean announced a fundamental commitment to protect the environment by becoming an Energy Star partner. EnOcean, through its voluntary partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star Program, is helping to sustain green initiatives by fitting energy-inefficient buildings with self-powered wireless controls. EnOcean's energy harvesting and wireless technologies simplify the installation of the energy-stingy wireless controls (sensors, switches, gateways, and actuators) by replacing wires and batteries with self-powered wireless links.

In partnership with Energy Star, EnOcean will:

  • Measure and track the energy performance of its facilities where possible by using tools such as those offered through Energy Star

     

  • Help spread the word about the importance of energy efficiency to its staff and community

     

  • Support the Energy Star Challenge, a national call to action to help improve the energy efficiency of America's commercial and industrial buildings by 10% or more

     

  • Highlight its achievements with recognition offered through Energy Star
