F-O Probes as Diagnostic Tools

Some 80% of all cancers begin in the epithelium, the cells that line body surfaces including the skin, lungs, and digestive and reproductive tracts. Researchers at Duke's Pratt School of Engineering have demonstrated the use of angle-resolved low coherence interferometry (a/LCI) technology as a way to diagnose incipient cancer in the esophagus.
