Wireless Bridge from MaxStream

Wireless Bridge from MaxStream
December 6, 2006
The XBee XTender from MaxStream, Lindon, UT, is a wireless bridge that extends the range of ZigBee and 802.15.4 networks up to 40 miles rather than typical ZigBee modems that must be within 100–300 ft. to communicate. The multiband device permits shorter-range 2.4 GHz XBee networks operating under ZigBee or 802.15.4 wireless personal area networks (WPAN) standards to communicate data up to 40 miles away via the 900 MHz 1 W XTend RF modem. Features include an aluminum housing and 2 half-wave dipole antennas.
