Weld-Immune Sensors from Contrinex
October 12, 2006
Contrinex Inc., Old Saybrook, CT, offers weld-immune sensors in copper-zinc alloy bodies that are sealed to IP67, Teflon-coated to withstand weld spatter, and available in M12, M18, M30, and 40 by 40 mm cubic (C44) formats. Flush-mountable sensors have a sensing distance from 3 mm (M12) up to 15 mm (C44) and have an identical operating distance on aluminum, brass, and other non-ferrous metals as on steel. Sensors are PNP with NO output, are CE-approved, have a built-in output status LED, and are protected against short circuits, voltage reversal, and induction-overload.
