The ShockTimer-Plus 3D from Instrumented Sensor Technology (IST), Okemos, MI, is a reusable, battery-powered shock detector for transportation monitoring. You can attach the device to your shipment and record the exact time a package was abused in transport. Once installed and activated, the device detects and logs dates and times when a shock exceeds a pre-set threshold of 2, 3, or 4 g and which axis or axes the shock is detected in. You can extract the data from the device using a wireless USB-IRDA dongle. Temperature and humidity logging are optional.
