Phoenix Contact Inc., Middletown, PA, offers Pulse I/O Expansion Modules (compatible with the company's wireless BD, XD, and Data BD Bus radios) that allow direct pulse information to be transmitted wirelessly from remote locations. The digital pulse input module accepts pulse/frequency signals, while the output module reproduces pulse counts or frequency outputs. The input module has a back-up power supply connection, which ensures that even if power is lost, the pulses will continue to be recorded. Devices are addressed with an 8-position rotary dial when used with the company's wireless interface systems.
