November 21, 2006
National Instruments, Austin, TX, offers the PCIe-8255R, PCIe-8231, and PCIe-1427 PCI Express-based frame grabbers. The PCIe-8255R is an IEEE-1394 interface device that can acquire data from both IEEE 1394a and IEEE 1394b cameras and features reconfigurable I/O. The PCIe-8231 GigE frame grabber lets you acquire images from >100 m away while using a fraction of the host computer's CPU. The PCIe-1427 provides low-cost image acquisition for base configuration Camera Link cameras. It offers bandwidth up to 225 MBps, built-in industrial digital I/O, isolation for industrial communication, and encoder inputs for synchronizing motion with vision.
