C&D Technologies Inc., Power Electronics Div., Mansfield, MA, offers the ADCDS-1603 imaging signal processor that combines 16-bit resolution with 3 Mpixel/s performance and is intended for electronic imaging applications that use CCDs as photodetectors. SNR is 85 dB at 3 MHz with no latency delay. The 40-pin TDIP package incorporates a user-configurable input amplifier, correlated double sampler, and a 16-bit sampling ADC. Features include edge triggering, gain adjust, offset adjust, 2.0 V reference, a programmable analog input bandwidth function, and 500 mW typical power consumption. Applications include digital still cameras and video camcorders, portable CCD image devices, and medical and industrial imaging products.
