The Model 357B65 from PCB Piezotronics Inc., Vibration Div., Depew, NY, is a piezoelectric charge-output accelerometer that operates in temperatures from –54°C to 482°C and is designed for vibration studies for power generation turbines and equipment, aircraft engines, and automotive vehicle engine test and exhaust systems. Sensitivity is 4 pC/g, measurement range is ±500 g, and shock limit is 3000 g. The sensor connects to laboratory-style charge amplifiers or inline charge converters, has a piezoceramic sensing element, and has an all-welded, hermetically sealed Inconel housing.
