The Series 3713 from PCB Piezotronics Inc., Vibration Div., Depew, NY, is a high-sensitivity, DC-response, gas-damped MEMS accelerometer available in F.S. ranges from 3–200 g. Designed for measuring accelerations in various automotive and off-highway testing applications, the sensor provides micro g resolution, ±5000 g peak shock survivability, and a frequency response from DC to 1500 Hz. The sensor incorporates built-in conditioning electronics and is contained in a 1 in. cube in a welded titanium case design with either a hermetic connector or integral cable.
