The MSA510/1 from SIKO Products Inc., Dexter, MI, is a compact noncontact encoder with integrated translation electronics, suited for linear servo motor and direct-drive rotary applications. The encoder uses a flexible, adhesive-backed, low-profile, absolute-coded MBA magnetic band coupled with a low-mass IP65-rated CE-marked encoder and offers resolutions to 10 µm, an output via SSI or RS-485, and velocities up to 5 m/s.
