National Instruments, Austin, TX, has released its CANopen LabVIEW library, allowing you to create industrial control and measurement applications conforming to the CiA DS301 standard, with connectivity to industrial CANopen devices, including motion drives, sensors, and distributed I/O. The library is a collection of NI LabVIEW functions that converts high-speed NI Series 2 CAN devices into functional CANopen master interfaces. It works with the company's SoftMotion Controller for CANopen motion drives. You can also program CANopen-based Accelnet and Xenus drives from Copley with the NI-Motion API in LabVIEW.
