Sennheiser Century Wired Headset Series wins iF product design award

March 12, 2014

Old Lyme, CT – Sennheiser has won the iF product design award, adding a world-renowned design accolade to its existing strong reputation for delivering the best in sound quality with user comfort.

Sennheiser developed the Century Series for quality-conscious enterprises requiring the best in sound quality and design for their professional users. Crafted with high-end quality materials, the Century Series offers an iconic, lightweight design that is both classy and unobtrusive. With its unibody headband it delivers a perfect fit with maximum strength. Over-size leatherette ear-pads for exceptional user comfort make sure that Century can be worn all-day. And with the headset’s cables sheathed in Kevlar, Century is robust enough to withstand even heavy usage.

With this remarkable design, Century has prevailed over a strong set of competitors. In this year, the iF judges reviewed over 3,000 entries from 55 different countries world-wide, before making their decision. Now in their 61st year, the iF Awards, organized by the iF Industrie Forum Design e.V. and supported by the iF International Forum Design GmbH, recognize outstanding designs and the economic benefits they deliver.

In addition to quality design, Century offers renowned Sennheiser premium sound: With its in-built neodymium speakers, Sennheiser voice clarity with wideband sound and ultra-noise canceling microphone, the Century Series offers superior listening experiences that make conversations crisp and clear. The headset also uses the unique ActiveGard technology to protect users from unexpected acoustic shocks on calls.

Johannes Kaulfuss, Director of Product Management at Sennheiser said: “We are delighted to have received the iF product award which that has become a symbol for outstanding achievements in design. We are proud to have crafted the Sennheiser Century Wired Headset Series, a premium series of headsets that combine the best in sound quality, wearing comfort, durability and design.”
