Sensors Unveils Website Redesign

April 3, 2006 By: Sensor Contributor

Suite of Special-Interest Sites Targets Information to Key Applications and Market Segments

NEWTON, Mass., April 3, 2006 – Sensors, the premier publication dedicated to sensors and sensor-related technologies, has re-launched its web presence as part of a major growth initiative aimed at providing enhanced information services to high-tech professionals and expanding reach beyond its current audience of 195,000 spanning print, online, and e-mail newsletters.

Sensorsmag.com, currently attracting 70,000 unique visitors each month, now features industry-specific and application websites, giving readers greater access to targeted news, analysis, and technical information surrounding sensors, supporting technologies, and their applications. The focus areas, all accessible from the home site, are Process Industries; Automotive; Electronics and Computers; Machine Manufacturing; Aerospace, Military, and Homeland Security; Specialty Markets; and Wireless and M2M.

“Sensors covers such a broad range of technologies and applications it has sometimes been a challenge to deliver information in the way we feel best serves our various readers’ interests, “ said Barbara G. Goode, Editor in Chief. “This structure will enable us to present information so that readers can easily zero in on specific areas when they need to.  We’ll be building on the current postings to better serve these audiences as time goes by.”

The new suite of sites provides product and system design engineers, production engineers, and managers with a complete, integrated platform for accessing the technical and implementation information they need to make the best decisions about sensors and their application to enable products, services, and business operations.

The new Sensors Websites will not only serve the needs of specific audiences, it will also reshape the way marketers advertise on Sensorsmag.com.  Targeting readers through the special-interest sites will help advertisers identify core sensor decision-makers in their areas of business and maximize lead-generation opportunities by presenting their brands, products, and services directly to their key customers.
