Xpress Offers Precision Sensors for Coordinate Measuring Machines

The high-tech startup company's Gannen XP delivers accuracy of 40 nanometers in the 3D square.


Xpress Precision Engineering, an academic high-tech startup company, is producing and developing highly accurate sensors for coordinate measuring machines. The company's most recent sensor system, Gannen XP, has an accuracy of 40 nanometers in the 3D square. The probing/scanning sensor can be used for measurements on MEMS-based fuel-injection nozzles (automotive), inkjet printer heads, and micro turbines; special artifacts (e.g. lenses for space aviation); cell strengths (bioscience), and calibration tools.

The accuracy and weight of the sensor system makes it "one of the most innovative probing systems in the world."
