Pepperl+Fuchs Introduces Intrinsic-Safety Ethernet Isolators

July 9, 2007

The new devices allow users to connect high-speed data devices, deployed in hazardous settings, directly to standard Ethernet lines.

ARCwire -- Pepperl+Fuchs introduces intrinsic safety FieldConnex Ethernet Isolators. These galvanically isolated Ethernet isolators allow users to connect high-speed data devices located in hazardous-location applications directly to a standard Ethernet line. They also allow for back-to-back "pass through" applications—all without requiring any separate hardware. With the ability to customize a PCB-mounted version, Pepperl+Fuchs is able to provide a seamless solution for OEM's who want to integrate intrinsic-safety Ethernet options into their own equipment.
