Nanotechnology To Transform Battery Markets

March 20, 2006

LITTLE FALLS, N.J. /BUSINESS WIRE/--mPhase Technologies today announced that Alex Langa, director of business development, will present at the Advancements in Battery Technology & Power Management Conference on April 12, 2006, in Chicago.

Langa’s presentation is titled “The Market Implications of New Nanotechnology Battery Architecture in Transforming Battery Markets.” The presentation will detail how the existing design approaches are impractical for developing reserve-type batteries that can be used for powering portable electronics. The talk will present a new approach to developing a scalable reserve battery that uses the principles of microfludics and electro-wetting to keep the batteries in an inactive state for a very long shelf life while retaining the properties of reaching full voltage potential on demand.

The Advancements in Battery Technology & Power Management 2006 Conference is sponsored by Battery Power Products & Technology Magazine. The conference will highlight innovations in new battery designs, chemistries, power management, testing systems, and charging technology, as well as the latest market trends affecting the industry. The agenda for this conference can be found online at http://www.batterypoweronline.com/images/2006Conference.pdf
