Indoor-Capable GPS

August 1, 2005 By: Barbara G. Goode, Sensors Sensors

Atmel (www.atmel.com) and u-blox (www.u-blox.com) have announced a new GPS weak-signal tracking technology called SuperSense, supporting ANTARIS GPS chipsets from Atmel and GPS modules from u-blox. The partners say that the new software enables accurate GPS navigation in building interiors, deep urban canyons, covered roads, and other locations where GPS reception has previously been impossible.
