The joint study will test and refine a set of protocols for detecting and recovering circulating nucleic acids from blood to develop an investigational cancer therapy.
WASHINGTON and LA JOLLA, CA /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ICx Technologies, a developer of advanced technology solutions for homeland security and force protection, announced a research study with Merck & Co., Inc. and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center of Seattle.
The purpose of the study is to test and refine a set of protocols for detecting and recovering circulating nucleic acids from blood, a key early detector for cancer treatment, to support the development of an investigational cancer therapy. The study is being conducted by its La Jolla, CA–based Biosystems unit, with participation by the Hutchinson Center.
