“Stealthy Insect Sensor Project” Trains Bees to Detect Bombs

Scientists at America's leading weapons research facility, Los Alamos National Laboratory, say they've developed a method for training the common honeybee to detect explosives like those used in the London bombings.


They say the bees could be used in the near future in major defense operations such as Iraq, or for homeland security.
