Q:  I submitted a Call For Papers form. When will I be notified if I was chosen to speak at Sensors?

Q:  I submitted a Call For Papers form. When will I be notified if I was chosen to speak at Sensors?
A:  All Call For Papers entries will be answered by the end of January 2013.

Q:  How are speakers selected?
A:  Once the topics and sessions of the Sensors Conference Program have been finalized, we look at the Call For Papers proposals to see if they are good fits with the program. Speakers are then selected based on their topic knowledge and prominence in their field. All sessions must be educational in nature. Sales pitches and product promotions are strictly prohibited and will result in exclusion from future Sensors events.

Q:  Does Sensors provide speaker honorariums?
A:  Sensors does not provide speaker honorariums.

Q:  What date and time is my session? Where is it being held?
A:  You will be sent an email with your session date and time, which will also be listed in the Conference section once the program is finalized. Please note the schedule is subject to change. You will be given your room assignment upon check-in on-site.

Q:  You requested my bio. Will it be published in any show materials?
A:  If you are selected to speak, your biography will be posted on the website with your session information.

Q:  Do I register myself for Sensors?
A:  No, as a speaker at Sensors, you will be automatically registered. Your badge will be available for pickup when you arrive on-site.

Q:  Does Sensors cover speaker travel and hotel expenses?
A:  Sensors speakers are responsible for their own hotel and travel expenses.

Q:  Where should I stay and are there any hotel room discounts?
A:  Discounted rooms are available for all attendees. Please visit the

Q:   I want to provide handouts to those attending my conference session. Does Sensors handle production?
A:  Sensors will not produce handouts for distribution at the event. Speakers are requested to send their presentation in PDF format by April 30, 2012 and it will be posted online for attendees to access in advance of the event. You may provide handouts but you will be responsible for the production and distribution of them at the event. There is a business center at the
Donald E. Stephens Convention Center for on-site copying needs.

Q:  What Audio/Visual equipment will be in the conference sessions?
A:  The standard A/V in each conference session includes:

          • LCD Projector and stand
          • Podium and podium microphone
          • Wired lavaliere microphone
          • Screen 

Any additional A/V equipment must be ordered and approved in advance. A/V equipment cannot be ordered on-site. Please send an A/V Request Form by March 19, 2012 to request additional equipment. We will notify you if there will be a charge or if we cannot fulfill your request.

Q:  Are speakers and panelists required to bring laptops loaded with their presentations or will this be taken care of by Sensors?
A:  All speakers and panelists who wish to show a presentation must provide their own laptops loaded with their presentations.

Q:  Are there speaker lounges on-site where I can practice my presentation?
A:  Yes, there will be a Speaker Ready Room located in the Donaled E. Stephens Convention Center. The Speaker Ready Room will be equipped with work areas, event directories and light refreshments.

Q:  I am a speaker at Sensors. Can I have access to your press list?
A:  The press list is available only to exhibiting companies.

Q:  I am a speaker at Sensors. Can I have access to the list of people who attended my session?
A:  We do not distribute attendee lists by session to speakers. We scan badges only for access control to conference sessions.
