Sensor Innovation in Healthcare
Today's cars have by some estimation more than 80 computers on board, supporting hundreds of sensors and those numbers will most certainly increase. Modern jet fighters could not fly without the thousands of sensors and hundreds of microprocessors. Today, medical products with sensors are becoming as ubiquitous as cell phones on a college campus. How much further can we go in? In this session, we will discuss the future of smart technology applications in medicine and other technology pieces required to truly revolutionize our lives and enhance the delivery of medical care. The day will inevitably come that sensor systems will be truly integrated into every aspect of our physical and mental presence but what will it take to get there and what might that look like?
