MD8: Using Sensor Driven Design to Achieve a Competitive Advantage
Sensors have become the critical path to many of the most innovative and differentiated products on the market today. This is true for a wide range of commercial and industrial products and is only increasing with the emerging internet interconnection of seemingly every aspect of human life. Consequently, a design flow that focuses on assisting designers in leveraging the features and performance of available sensor technology, in the context of feedback control systems and the analog and digital circuits that surround them, provides an innovative opportunity to achieve a competitive advantage in product design.
This session will provide an overview of a new, free online environment focused on Sensor Driven Design. This new web-based design environment provides a convenient place for sensor vendors to provide models and reference designs that feature the strengths of their sensors. System designers can copy and extend known good designs and use powerful modeling and simulation capabilities to experiment and innovate. Come to this session to see examples of this design environment in action and learn how you can get free access to it.
