Fixed Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detection
June 6, 2013 | 1:40pm - 2:20pm
The session describes how ultrasound can be used to measure the total quantity of released gas from an incident and thus provide a sense of the severity of the hazard the gas release presents.
In this session, attendees will learn how to:
Obtain a better understanding of the measurement principle involved in ultrasonic gas leak detection
Learn how to derive the size of a pressurized gas release when the distance between the leak source and the detector is known
Optimize detector operation for the indentification and quantification of large leaks
