The Body is the Medium: Intelligent BodyCom Systems for Short-Range Communications
Speaker | Chris Tucker | Microcontroller Application Engineer | Microchip Technology Inc.
June 5, 2013 | 2:40pm - 3:20pm
The BodyCom system, a new short-range wireless connectivity technology, uses the human body as its signal propagation medium. Low-frequency/low-power design implementations offers many advantages over existing technologies. The session will cover BodyCom as applied to secure, bi-directional passive keyless entry systems. We will provide system design examples and discuss how to select carrier frequency, data rate and range optimization processes, and secure data communication protocols.
In this session, attendees will learn:
How the BodyCom technology works for short-range communication applications
Its theoretical details, advantages over other technology, and the system implementation examples
How to adapt this new technology for their new design projects
