Active Pre-Compensation to Boost Vibration Calibrator Performance
A limiting factor in low frequency vibration calibration is mechanical distortion. Many accelerometer calibration solutions utilize sinusoidal excitation with RMS measurement techniques sensitive to waveform distortion. By applying active pre-compensation to the excitation signal, a new portable vibration calibrator shows improved performance characteristics at lower frequencies.
