Spinwave Systems, Westford, MA, offers the A3 Sensor Net wireless mesh sensor network designed for the building controls market. The network is based on the company's A3 technology, which eliminates interference from other RF sources while minimizing power consumption. Features include support for LONWORKS, BACnet (MSTP and IP), and Modbus (TCP and RTU), ability to interface to ZigBee-based devices, and ability to adapt to other protocols based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard. The system combines sensors and router/repeaters, and is self-forming, scalable, and reliable.
