The Cobalt M from Oceasoft S.A.S., Montpellier, France, is a temperature monitoring system designed for use inside refrigerated trucks and containers. The device monitors and records air temperature from –30°C to 50°C to protect temperature-sensitive products during transit; drivers can be alerted via a wireless siren if the temperature inside the refrigerated chamber changes unexpectedly. The module integrates memory for 3000 measurements, a light sensor, and a door open/close detection system and its wireless range is up to 400 m. Battery life is at least 1 yr. Data can be uploaded manually or automatically at delivery sites to the company's ThermoServer data and module management system.
