The Wireless Sensor System from The Deeter Group, Hughenden Valley, U.K., is designed for industrial measurement and control. The Base Station receives data from remote wireless devices, converting them into industry standard process outputs, and acts as the coordinator for an IEEE 802.15.4 wireless sensor network, operating over the 2.4 GHz ISM band. Range is >1 km. The Base Station provides 4 open collector transistor outputs, a 4–20 mA current-loop driver, and a serial communications channel with full-duplex RS-232 and half-duplex RS-485 transceivers. The system includes the battery-powered LVCS-RF wireless liquid level sensor that is available in 250 mm, 500 mm, 750 mm, and 1 m standard lengths.
