Wireless Passive Temperature Sensor from SenGenuity

SenGenuity, a div. of Vectron International, Hudson, NH, offers the TFSS433D SAW-based temperature sensors and a wireless interrogation system from Transense Technologies. The device is a passive, batteryless 433.786 MHz 1-port SAW resonator structure specifically designed to have a linear frequency vs. temperature characteristic. Temperature coefficient of frequency is 16.2 ppm/°C. The sensor operates from 0°C–120°C, has an unloaded Q of 8000, is a low-loss (2.5 dB max) structure, and is designed for a 50 ohm system. The sensor provides instantaneous wireless temperature measurements for embedded real-time, inline environments.
