Wireless Field Unit from Accutech
June 22, 2006

The Multi-Input Field Unit from Accutech, a div. of Adaptive Instruments Corp., Hudson, MA, lets you add wireless capabilities to existing or new wired sensors, such as flowmeters, pH meters, or other devices with voltage or current outputs. The device is available in 4–20 mA (Model WI-AI) and voltage (Model WI-AV) packages, each accepting up to 2 inputs. The field units also feature 2 discrete contact closure inputs, operation in the 902–928 MHz ISM band, and integrated signal conditioning. The unit samples analog signals at regular intervals and then transmits the data to a Base Radio for centralized monitoring and DA.
