The CL400 wireless Ethernet bridge starter packs from Laird Technologies Inc., St. Louis, MO, provide data throughput and security for wireless applications in the M2M and industrial market segments. Optimized for point-to-point bridge connections, the starter packs include two CL400 units, a standard RJ-45 Ethernet jack, two 2.4 MHz omnidirectional antennas with 5 dBi gain, and an AC power adapter. You plug in the Ethernet cable to apply power and have a wireless bridge at a distance of up to 1 mile and speeds up to 11 Mbps. The CL400 is preconfigured to communicate over a WPA2-AES encrypted secure 802.11 RF channel and can optimize link speeds according to the RF conditions and distances between the units.
