The IPS-EVAL-EH-02 from Infinite Power Solutions (IPS) Inc., Littleton, CO, is a complete wireless environmental sensor energy harvesting reference design. The kit includes a PIC24 microcontroller and MiWi IEEE 802.15.4-compliant radio module from Microchip Technology, multiple indoor environmental sensors (passive IR, humidity, ambient light, and temperature), a THINERGY Micro-Energy Cell (MEC) solid-state thin-film rechargeable battery, a Zena 2.4 GHz wireless adapter, the MAX17710 power-management IC, and a solar panel. The kit is designed to let you develop and evaluate self-sustaining green sensor systems.
